Intro to my Guest Blogger....

Hey bloggy peeps! So tomorrow's the big day when Schuett is my special guest blogger. I guess I should introduce you to Schuett before she blognaps my blog tomorrow. Let's see where should I begin....I met Katie (that's Schuey's real name, well actually if we are going to get technical her real name is Katherine) during flag football season last year through B. Nash. I had to add the picture of me and Britt because 1) She hadn't had a pic on the blog in a while and she is one of my most loyal blog readers (Hi Britt!) 2) She was the first Chi O I met thanks to her cousin being my gamma chi 3) We've been roommates for two semesters now and this is probably only our 3rd picture ever.Okay, now that I've finished that spill. Katie is going to blognap tomorrow and chat it up about whatever while I blognap her blog to do my thing. Katie is probably the funniest person you will EVER meet. She continually has me cracking up, sometimes when we're talking I seriously feel like I'm talking to myself because we are so similar (for example our extreme love of Christmas and owl pajamas, enough said). So that's about all for today, my happy moment for today goes to getting a postcard from Kayln from Japan. I love snail mail, almost as much as I love hearing from her! Love ya'll lots!

I've Got A Pocketful, Pocketful of Sunshine

Hello world! I have missed you dearly, the blogosphere has been a little low on my priority list this past week, which is so unfortunate since it was my new year's resolution to document 2010. Let's see what all I have been up to since we last chatted. When I first logged on tonight I thought it had been a week since I updated but I just realized that it has only been 4 days which makes me feel a little better. So let's see, on Friday my groups rolled out with some stellar presentations. We had Big Red come in to our class for Selling and Sales to assist with our presentation, which was a huge hit with our class and teacher. So after that Kara and I hit the road for Cway. Most of my friends were heading home for the weekend and since last weekend's trip seemed a little short since I got home so late I figured why not make a hair appointment and head home. We had a little jam session the whole way home and caught up on life in general which was great. It's so strange to go from living with someone everyday for two years to having to actually schedule hang out time. I got my haircut on Friday afternoon, which was definitely my happy moment for that day. I love my hairdresser, she rocks and I always love the way my hair looks afterwards. On Saturday, the whole family loaded up and went to the races in Hot Springs. Jake and I hadn't ever been before and it was a blast, I just love my family. Mom and I were talking about it later how we feel so sad for people who don't enjoy spending time with their families because we all just have so much fun together. I think part of the reason I love weekends at home has to go to the consistency of Sundays, I love waking up on Sundays knowing exactly where we will sit at church, knowing that I will almost always being running 5 minutes later than I should be, knowing Jacob will be mad because I wasn't ready on time, knowing that we will eat Cracker Barrel afterwards, and that I'll then get to come home and change into my bumming clothes. All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and my happy moment for today goes to coming back and being reunited with the "group." I just love my friends, they are just so stinkin' wonderful I don't know how I ever lived without them. I know this was a long post but one last thing: On Tuesday I have a very special treat for all my bloggy friends, Katie Schuett is going to guest blog!!!

Blur of a Post

So I never thought that finding time to blog would be this difficult. I wish I had some great excuse for it but in all honesty blogging just fell to the bottom of the importance pile. Here's an update on my life since we last talked. I went home late Friday night to surprise my mom for her birthday which was Saturday. It was great! She was super excited and I was thrilled to be home, even if it was just a flying trip. We went on Saturday and ate breakfast at Stoby's which pretty much made my day and then to top if off Mom and I went and got pedicures! I just love when my toes have a fresh shiny coat of polish. I went for a spring color so when I look down I can pretend its summer time. Sunday we all went to church and out to lunch at Cracker Barrell. I've pretty much spent the last two days just studying and working on group projects. This is kind of a quick thrown together post without pictures, but a little is better than nothing. I don't have anything school related tonight so I'll try to do a cute, fun post then. Oh and here's my list of happy moments for the past couple days, getting mail from my mom and dad (it had a sonic card in there!!), having a thank-you on the thank-you sheet this week (thanks Fargo!), getting to spend the two hour ride to Conway catching up with Meagan, and being able to make a haircut appointment on such short notice for this weekend! Talk to you soon (promise this time).

Dry Shampoo, My BFF

Hey bloggy friends. Today is one of those fun blog posts I've been telling you I would eventually write. So I don't know have many of you have been introduced to the wonderful world of dry shampoo. I made this life-changing discovery in the fall and let me tell you, dry shampoo is the bomb dot com. Let me explain this wonderful world of dry shampoo. Basically, dry shampoo is like baby powder on steroids. You just spray a little bit on the "less than fresh" spots of your hair and let it sit for a few minutes then rub it in. It is so awesome, I mean who has time to deal with washing and drying your hair every day. I know this isn't exactly deep reading here but I promise you, try the shampoo and fall in love with it, it is one of the most life changing discoveries ever. Well that's pretty much all I have for today, I'll post my happy moment later :) Happy Friday friends!!

Search and Rescue and Big Kid Life Pt. 2

Hello friends! It's Thursday and the first night all week that I don't have any homework, whoohoo! OK, in actuality I need to start reading for my Public Relations test on Tuesday and begin working on my two presentations for next week but I just really needed a break tonight. My weekend is looking like it's going to be another weekend filled with school and Chi O stuff. I just have so much to do for next week and feel like if I don't knock at least half of it out this weekend I will feel super stressed out. Tomorrow night we are going to see Valentine's Day for Sarah's birthday. I am super pumped about it, the movie has all my favorite actors and actresses in it. It has Julia Roberts, who is probably my favorite actress of all time, and Jennifer Garner which is another one of my faves. In BIGGER news today was the big day, we signed a lease for our HOUSE!!! Don't worry, I have pictures of the official signing to come soon. It was so weird, I can't believe I just signed my first lease. I'm sure this is one of those moments 20 years from now I will look back on and laugh when I remember taking pictures of signing a sheet of paper, ha. Oh my goodness, I forgot to mention the main thing I got on here to blog about. Yesterday was a search and rescue day for me and Catherine. Catherine called me around 6 or so and I had just been laying in bed because I had been feeling yucky all day and I was like I really feel like I need to answer this and sure enough I did. Catherine asked me if I wanted to go with her to pick up Emily from Greenland where her car had broken down. Poor Em, she had barely made it past Fayetteville on her way home from Joplin when her little car just had it. We felt fairly legit making our "rescue." I hated that Em's car had broken down but I was so glad I got to see her. We hung out for the next couple of hours while we waited for her dad to come and get her. It was nice for her to get to see so much of my Fayetteville world. I have a really exciting blog post coming up this weekend, so I know ya'll are all on the edge of your seats. To finish off today's post my happy moment for the day was not feeling like I failed either of my tests today, it's nice to walk out of a test and feel as if you knew more of the information than you expected, oh and side happy moment was signing the lease (duh)! Sweet dreams bloggy friends!

One Crazy Week....

Sorry, bloggy friends, I'm sure you thought I fell off the face of the earth, but I actually just got really busy and crazy stressed. This week has been so crazy busy but I feel like everything is finally falling into place. I think we have finally found a place to live, which is super exciting. I don't want to jinx it by saying anything for certain but we looked at another house today and I think its all under wraps. Trying to figure all of that out has just been so stinking daunting. I feel so so so so relieved to know I have somewhere to live next year and then not to mention I am so thrilled to be living with some of my besties. Its so funny to me that I am living with an athlete from Kansas, a Texas princess, and a crazy girl from Oklahoma. If you had told me my freshman year my three roommates for senior year would all have been from different states I would have laughed in your face. I just can't wait to move in with them I know we will have so many fun things next year. The next two weeks are going to be busy with school stuff but I want to go into it kind of ahead so I'm going to work on homework pretty much all day tomorrow. The Superbowl is this Sunday and I'm going to Schuey's house to watch the game which will be nice. I'm so ready to go home and since I can't do that Schuey's house is a close second. I hate that I've been falling off the bandwagon with blogging but I don't want to quit just because I skipped a few days. Let's see I can't remember exactly the last time I updated so instead of doing the update of all my happy moments per day I'm just going to skip to today's: Schuett dropped me off to class today and Kat picked me up and I just absolutely love not walking to class. I'm starting to get super tired and I think I might just wrap this up. I had lofty ambitions for this post but maybe a lofty post will be in tomorrow's future, probably quite likely since I'll need a study break. Goodnight!

School's Back (For Real Now)

Hey peeps! So today isn't going to be one of those cool new blog posts I talked about last time because its like 11 o'clock and I'm tired. So if you were hoping for that you'll just have to keep checking back :) OK so the past two days have been crazy, this week is the fourth week of school which means we are a quarter of the way into the semester and that tests are beginning. I have a test on Friday of this week and two group projects due. My happy moment for Monday came when I rolled over to turn off my alarm to get up and saw that I had an e-mail from my teacher saying that my class was cancelled, the extra hour of sleep was so nice, especially on a Monday morning. During my internship yesterday I actually got to start doing stuff and that was exciting because its hard to occupy yourself when you aren't really busy. Tomorrow Amy and I get to venture out of the office and pick up some donations which thrills me because I hate being cooped up in any one place for too long. Today while volunteering at the blood drive I felt just like one of those obnoxious people at the mall who is asking you to sample lotion or a straightener and you just really want to get to Chick Fila and Dillard's and don't give a darn about their products. Every time someone passed by me while I was working the door to the donation center they started walking farther on the other side of the hall and as soon as I spoke I could see it in their eyes that they were already creating their excuses. I didn't donate today but plan on going tomorrow after my first class, I'm hoping it goes well, donating always makes me a little antsy but I always feel really good about myself after I do it. I guess that's about all I have for today, I'm sorry that it wasn't the fun post I promised but I want the fun post to be really good so it takes a little extra time, you know? My little bit of happy moment today was getting to talk to my mom before I went to class. I was just so stressed last night before I went to bed and usually I don't talk to my mom till late on Tuesday's because I'm busy and so is she so it was nice to get her opinion on stuff. I'm such a homebody that I can't wait till I get a chance to go home and see my mom and dad.
