Lazy Friday Night
Today is one of those rare, cold, wet, all-around dreary nights. I got off work and had plans of going to eat with friends then we would head to the baseball game but the chilly temps and rain called off the second half of those plans. Katie & Heather & I went to eat at Chili's and made the executive decision that movies and cookies back at the house would be a much better end to our week than freezing at the baseball field. So currently I am sitting here listening to music and typing this while they are watching a scary movie on the TV. Lucky for me because they know me so well they also rented Billboard Dad so once this scary movie is off we are watching that! I just really can't even put into words how blessed I am to live the life I live. I just LOVE it so much and it literally makes me want to cry when I think that I graduate in less than a month and won't have the same faces to greet me each day after class or work. I know God has great things planned for my future and I'm excited to see what those plans look like but at the same time I just love my life right now so much I can't imagine it being much better, but I said the same thing about high school and college proved me wrong again with more fun and more friends so maybe the real world won't be as scary as it seems. I'm trying to play catch up for my little blog break, I still have some posts I need to do that will include pictures but right now I just felt like typing out all the little thoughts hopping around in my head. Happy Friday blog friends, I hope you have a great relaxing weekend!!

Top 11 of Snow Day 2011
So I'm snowed in for my second day in a row this week. This is our third snow day of the semester so far and we're only in our third week of school so to say I'm never going to memorize my schedule is an understatement. As we all know I am not a winter girl, bring on sunshine and tan lines those are so much more my style but I'm trying to be a more positive person so I figure why not make a top 11 list for snow day(s) 2011. Here we go:
1) Hot chocolate, duh. I love hot chocolate especially when I can sip it while looking out on the freezing world.
2) Movie marathons. I never watch movies and its been so fun to watch three movies in the past day or so.
3) Friend time. I love that I'm having a chance to hang out with some of my favorite people. Dani, Channing, Schuett, Heather, Natalie, and I have all been piled in our house for the past two days and being stuck inside isn't quite as bad with these girls.
4) Playing games. We've played catchphrase and a question game which both have been so much fun and activities I feel like you can only really do when you're stuck somewhere.
5) Catching up on sleep. I was so tired by the end of the weekend that having a chance to catch up on some zzz's has been great.
6) No class. I really do love my classes but a little break is nice too. Though I am really bummed about no scuba tonight.
7) Snow pictures. I'm really not a big go out and play in the snow girl but I do know that pictures in the snow are super cute so I bundled up and lasted all of 30 minutes outside yesterday for some super fun, cute pictures (to be posted later because they are on Dani's camera).
8) Catching up on life. I've been able to use the down time to catch up on the Bible study I'd unfortunately fallen behind on and work on some school work that I wouldn't have had time for until way later in the week without the snow days.
9) Cooking with the girls. We never really cook much at our house since we all still can eat our meals at Chi O but since we we've been snowed in we've been fixing some snacks and meals over here. It's just so fun to get in the kitchen with my friends and realize how little all of us know about cooking.
10) Bumming. Bumming on snow days is just the best kind of bumming because you don't have to feel guilty since there isn't anything else you could do.
11) Story time. I feel like when you're stuck inside together for so long you really start to here stories from your friends that you wouldn't here otherwise.
Well even with the top 11 of snow day(s) 2011 I have to admit that as great as it has been summer is on my mind and if I don't see snow again until 2012 I'll be okay with that. Happy snow day bloggy friends, hope you are all warm and safe!

Search and Rescue and Big Kid Life Pt. 2
Hello friends! It's Thursday and the first night all week that I don't have any homework, whoohoo! OK, in actuality I need to start reading for my Public Relations test on Tuesday and begin working on my two presentations for next week but I just really needed a break tonight. My weekend is looking like it's going to be another weekend filled with school and Chi O stuff. I just have so much to do for next week and feel like if I don't knock at least half of it out this weekend I will feel super stressed out. Tomorrow night we are going to see Valentine's Day for Sarah's birthday. I am super pumped about it, the movie has all my favorite actors and actresses in it. It has Julia Roberts, who is probably my favorite actress of all time, and Jennifer Garner which is another one of my faves. In BIGGER news today was the big day, we signed a lease for our HOUSE!!! Don't worry, I have pictures of the official signing to come soon. It was so weird, I can't believe I just signed my first lease. I'm sure this is one of those moments 20 years from now I will look back on and laugh when I remember taking pictures of signing a sheet of paper, ha. Oh my goodness, I forgot to mention the main thing I got on here to blog about. Yesterday was a search and rescue day for me and Catherine. Catherine called me around 6 or so and I had just been laying in bed because I had been feeling yucky all day and I was like I really feel like I need to answer this and sure enough I did. Catherine asked me if I wanted to go with her to pick up Emily from Greenland where her car had broken down. Poor Em, she had barely made it past Fayetteville on her way home from Joplin when her little car just had it. We felt fairly legit making our "rescue." I hated that Em's car had broken down but I was so glad I got to see her. We hung out for the next couple of hours while we waited for her dad to come and get her. It was nice for her to get to see so much of my Fayetteville world. I have a really exciting blog post coming up this weekend, so I know ya'll are all on the edge of your seats. To finish off today's post my happy moment for the day was not feeling like I failed either of my tests today, it's nice to walk out of a test and feel as if you knew more of the information than you expected, oh and side happy moment was signing the lease (duh)! Sweet dreams bloggy friends!

Laid Back Saturday

Today is one of those just great, kind of lazy Saturdays. I'm doing my laundry right now and in between switching it out I'm watching Runaway Bride on TV while drinking some orange juice. I love Runaway Bride it's probably my favorite movie of all time. I literally watched it almost every night for a whole summer. I just love it, it's so cute! Plus, I love orange juice, my Papa told me that drinking orange juice makes you smile, so I can't help but smile every time I drink it. I don't have any large plans for the rest of the day, I'm going to finish up my laundry and workout. I need to go do a little running around this afternoon to get some stuff done before next week. Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, we watched Paranormal Activity last night and I DO NOT watch scary movies, like my friends were asking me what the last scary movie was that I watched and I'm not sure that I have ever actually watched a "true" scary movie. So we watched it last night and wow it was so stinking scary. Let's just say I remembered again that I don't like scary movies. I just don't understand why anyone would want to watch a movie and be scared. So after that terrifying movie we decided to watch a happier movie, The Proposal. I have a serious love of chick flicks and I am not ashamed of it. Today's random picture is from Labor Day weekend when we all went to OSU, I just love it because it's in black and white. My happy moment for today was being able to wake up with out having anywhere to be or anything specific to do. Well, I just wanted to go ahead and get a blog post in for the day. Have a happy bumming around Saturday friends.

It's Finally Friday!
It's finally Friday!!! Yay. This weekend is going to be a pretty chill weekend for me. The cough medicine was amazing I finally slept a full night and that was much needed. I recruited Sgibs to go see The Lovely Bones with me tonight after we attempt to hit up a spin class at the HPER. During my selling and sales management class today a woman from the career center came and discussed the upcoming career fair. The thought of actually being a grown-up in the real world with a real job makes me want to barf, but not as much as the thought of trying to find a big person job. I have no idea how I'm supposed to go about such a thing, ugh. Oh well that's definitely an issue I'm going to just ignore for the time being. I love Friday afternoons, I might like them more than any other part of the weekend. Friday afternoons are always so open and carefree and the whole weekend is in front of you. So far this Friday afternoon I've read some of my book, done a little facebooking, and will probably conclude it with a little nap. I can't think of anything else that makes for a more perfect afternoon, well maybe other than adding in a trip to Sonic. I feel as if my blog may make my life seem a little dull to others, but I just absolutely love it. I love the everydayness of things, don't get me wrong I love when exciting, busy, different things happen but for the most part I just really enjoy the everydayness of being me. I used to feel as if I should always have something really big going on or I should always being going out and I still feel that way sometimes but lately I have just been trying to remember that I don't always have to be doing something huge to have a good time. It's so hard for me to realize that it's okay if I'd rather go to the movie or out to dinner with my friends than go to some crazy party all the time. Well that was my little spill for today, ha. So my little happy moment for the day goes to the general Friday afternoon. There is just nothing happier than a Friday afternoon. And since I'm in the mindset that a blog post should include pictures here's yet another old picture from last semester. Hope everyone has a great Friday afternoon/evening!

The Olympics are Coming, The Olympics are Coming
Hey blog world! Guess what?! The Olympics start next month. I am so excited, I love the Olympics. The summer games are my favorite but the winter ones have ice skating and I love love love ice skating. I cannot even wait! Since, I don't have a TV in my room right now it's a very good thing that I have friends who love the Olympics with equal amounts of passion as I do. Today was a fairly laid back day, I love the first few days of class when you go to school but you don't have any homework to do afterwards. I spent this afternoon at the HPER and then me and Kara went and saw Leap Year which was cute. There are so many cute movies coming out in the next month or so. I guess that's another good thing about winter, there are usually more movies during that time than summer. I'm watching American Idol right now, and wow you could not pay me a million bucks to sing on TV. Some of these people, bless their hearts just need to go home and keep their singing in the shower. I hate that I only add old pictures to my blog but I feel like the posts without pictures just look sad. So here's an old pic from last semester. This one is me, Sty, and Schuey at Yippee Chi O which is by far one of my favorite functions from last semester!
