This past weekend was Mom's Day for Chi O. I love Mom's day, mostly because it consists of three of my favorite things, my mom, food, and shopping. Mom and Rebecca got up here around 7 on Friday night and we headed to Mojitos (my new fave Mexican restaurant) for dinner and then headed back to Jacob's to watch a movie. Jacob was so nice, more like forced, to let us all stay with him for the weekend. Let's just say I bet he is looking for a roommate as we speak so that we can't keep having sleepover's at his apartment, ha. We ended up watching The Sandlot, which I had never seen. It was so good! I loved it, even if I fell asleep before the end and had to finish it on Saturday. Saturday morning we went by Bliss and picked up some cupcakes before we headed to the auction and brunch at Chi O. We had a good time looking through all the things and visiting with everyone and their moms. After that we went down to Rogers to do a little shopping. It was so weird, I actually wanted to shop for work clothes, I feel like they are pretty much all I wear anymore and I know in the next few months I'll have to wear them basically everyday. We managed to find some good sales (which we LOVE) and I picked out some cute stuff for my birthday (which is 18 days away in case anyone is counting). After a roundabout night of trying to figure out where to eat that wasn't going to have a wait of an hour or more we ended up at Mellow Mushroom with Nat and her mom and Dani and her mom. It was so much fun to just chat with everyone. It always cracks me up how much of someone's mom you can see in her, whenever I say this all my friends just laugh and say really since they seem to think my mom and I are really similar. I'm okay with that, I figure if they think I'm like my mom I'm doing okay since she's pretty fab! Sunday, Mom and Rebecca headed home after we all went to Waffle House. I just caught up on some homework and laundry before the week started. I can't believe March starts tomorrow, seriously where is the semester going?! I want it to slow down a little, I'm not ready for this to be over! Well, lots of love bloggy friends, sweet dreams!

Hello World, How've you been? Good to See You, My Old Friend
So really the post title has little to do with the post other than the fact that this song is stuck in my head. Sorry if you got excited because of the title, whoops. The past week has been crazy busy/crazy wonderful. Between work and school, life is still really busy but I'm super lucky because I really love both right now. In addition I have had lots of little moments of happy sprinkled throughout my days (I know, it sounds cheesy, but I like cheesy). Examples of little moments of happy include:
- How most of my friends have a lunch break at the same time that my lunch break falls. I know this seems small but being able to jet into Chi O and catch up for even 20 minutes before I head back to work or class is so exciting. All of our schedules are busier than ever and it keeps all of us informed of what is going on with everyone else.
- Today I got to go grab a bite to eat with Sgibs, I haven't had a chance to catch up with her in forever and it was so nice to be able to just pick right back up where we left off.
- Seeing my roommates before I go to work. On Friday, Dani woke up before I left and on Monday Chan was awake before I left. I know this seems small but on days when I know I won't get to see them again before at least 10 pm this definitely puts a smile on my face.
- Today's spontaneous Target run with Schuett once we got out of Bible study made me so happy.
- Today I got a totally random text from Meag that didn't say anything in particular but it still put a smile on my face. I love that we've been friends for so long and that I don't have to explain myself to her, she already knows all the background stories because she was there for them. I miss getting to see her more but things like our random text convos and quick trip to grab food last week gives us time to catch up.
- At work yesterday I got one of those super cool computer screens so I can connect my laptop and work off two displays. All the "real" people at work have them but until yesterday none of the interns did so this was really exciting.
- New t-shirts. Ok, so this sounds a little lame but we got new Chi O shirts last week and I am completely in love with them. New t-shirts always make me super excited.
- Mom's day is this weekend and I am so excited to see my mom on Friday. I can't wait to get off work and kick it with her all weekend.

3 Down, 87 to Go
So the goal for this year in the blogosphere was for me to blog 90 times. I've only done two so far, well this one makes 3 and I'm already struggling, ha. I refuse to start falling behind when I have no excuse so here goes. Let's see today was mostly spent trying to get organized and ready to head back to school. I start my internship on Wednesday and I am so excited/nervous/excited/nervous basically every 2 seconds my feelings change. I am really excited to get some really great experience at a place that I have been wanting to intern/work since my freshman year of college, but at the same time if you know me at all you know new things make my tummy hurt. I get so nervous when it comes to doing something new, I'm really trying to get better at not worrying and I think I've made some mild progress. I mean I was the kid who had to take mylanta for six weeks straight because kindergarten gave me separation anxiety...embarrassing, I know. I'm just ready to be three weeks into my internship and semester so I can know better what to expect and what I'm doing. To help me knock out one of the things I'm worried about my mom is going to help me try and figure out some work outfits tomorrow. I know this doesn't seem like a big deal but if I don't have to worry about creating some business outfit pre-8am the less stressed I'll be. Ok, so sorry for the ramble but that's basically all that has been on my mind for the past couple of days. The break is winding down which is always bittersweet. I am so excited to see my friends on Saturday but I'm also sad to leave home and my family.
So on to a more fun topic, this past weekend I went to a friend's wedding in Tulsa. This was my first friend/chi o wedding and it was SO MUCH fun! Dani and I stayed with Heather and she showed us around her hometown. The wedding was gorgeous and Kristen m
ade a gorgeous bride. It was so much fun getting to catch up with all the Chi O's a year older than me who were at the wedding! All in all it was a GREAT weekend. All the pictures in this post are from the wedding reception!

Happy Fall Y'all!
So I can't think of anything more fall than pumpkin carving. This week the boys went and bought the supplies and us girls went over on Tuesday for a little friendly competition. I love carving pumpkins its so much fun. I'm still holding strong to the idea that mine & Dan's was the winner. We carved HOGS into ours, well on the first try we actually carved HUGS but we got that little problem fixed. Here's some pics from the night! Oh, and my happy moment for today was my besties winning their flag football game and being named CHAMPIONS! How exciting, plus the whole game I got to hang out with Britt and Schuett!

Where I've Been & Where I'm Going...
Hey Bloggy friends!! So its been a while since an update, whoops. So what have I been up to the past month. Well let's see, I have been LOVING life. I seriously could not imagine a better school schedule. I love, love, love my classes. And in terms of how I'm spending my free time I have discovered I really love spin classes at Clubhaus and I've also rediscovered how much fun it is to hang out with my friends and not spend every waking moment studying or at a group meeting. Oh and did I mention how much I love football season, because I do. Pretty much life is great currently. I'm working on remembering that everyday in the moments that seem less than ideal. I have such a blessed life and I feel as if I have not been appreciative of that near as much as I should be so that has been my goal lately, I have been trying to see God's blessings in my life a little more each day. I definitely still struggle with it but I'm really trying to stop and notice the little things that I usually let pass me by without saying thanks for.

That's right the crew is loading up and we are headed to Dallas to do what we do best and CALL THOSE HOGS!! Wooo Pig Sooie!!
So as far as where I've been let's see...
I've been Two Steppin' at Yippie Chi O, Dylan and I had a repeat of sophomore year and had a blast.
I've been getting in touch with my inner jersey girl with the besties at The Shore function
I've been calling those Hogs in Fayetteville & Little Rock

& Now Where I'm Going....
This Weekend we are headed to

Well, I guess I'll wrap up this post. My happy moment for today was getting mail from my mom and grandma. I love getting mail and the card from my mom had the coolest quote that I'll have to post on here some other time :) Night night bloggy friends!

Happy Monday
Happy Monday friends! Today was a "real" Monday including Chapter. For some reason school never really seems to be "real" until we have our first chapter when we get all the dates for everything in the semester. This semester is going to be so great! I just am so stinking excited. My schedule is busy but completely doable and I just can't wait for all the fun things that are scheduled and will pop up. I'm getting so excited about our first function, Yippie Chi O. This is probably in my top three favorite functions we have each year. It's just so so so much fun. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to wear, ha. Today's happy moment was only having one class. It was so nice to have the WHOLE afternoon to run errands and do some stuff I had been putting off. Well, I guess I'll leave ya'll with my favorite picture from senior night. Hope ya'll had a great Monday!

I'm Back...
Hey bloggy friends (or the one of you that's left since I've left the blogosphere unattended for so long)! I would like to say that my ridiculously long blog break was due to some crazy, outrageous save the world summer I was having, but let's be real that would be a lie. Basically, I just got lazy with the whole blog thing, but with a new school year I'm trying to get back with it. I love being able to look back through the old posts I do have and really want to try and be more intentional with trying to blog. I would try to catch you up with all that's happened since April but that would probably just overwhelm me and cause me to quit blogging again so we're cutting our losses and moving forward from here. With that said, the first week of classes are finally over and so far they seem to be going pretty well. I love that I'm finally in classes that I really enjoy. I'm loving my Public Relations Cases class and creative strategy seems like it should be interesting. I also love that most of my classes have people in them that I have been in class with before, everyone said that eventually you would have all the same people in your classes because your all majoring in the same thing and its finally happened! Yay! Well my happy moment for today goes to opening my window this morning to the wonderful cooler weather and burning my favorite honeysuckle candle while I got ready. Happy weekend blog friends, I'll leave you with a picture of all the Conway Chi O's, love them so much!

Hometown Tour (T-Town Edition)
DISCLAIMER: Guest blogging is still to occur at some unannounced date.
DISCLAIMER 2: Sorry for not posting in so long. Between tests and work and Internet issues life's been crazy.
Regular Post:
Hey peeps! Long time no blog! Sorry about that (see disclaimer above). So I am so excited this weekend we are road tripping to Texarkana, TX. After our trip to Conway last semester for the Little Rock game (which we didn't make it to) we decided we should really do a hometown tour of everyone's hometowns. So this weekend we are heading to Texarkana to see Natalie and K. Ward's hometown :) I can't wait I just love seeing where people are from. Plus, pretty much everyone is going which is pretty stinking exciting since I don't think all of us have been together in what feels like forever. So on Friday Sgibs, Nat, Kat, Chan, Dan, and I are all loading up and heading down to kick it in T-Town. I'll definitely do a post after the weekend to let you know how it goes. On another note, last weekend was Mom's weekend and my mom came up which was a blast. I love Mom's weekend! I have to admit I broke off the Panama plan when mom and I discovered how yummy Bliss cupcakes our. Bliss is located on the square and since we had to be down there for Greek Sing (which was wonderful, btw) we just had to stop in and get some. I love cupcakes they are just so HAPPY! My happy moment for today is that I am pretty much free from here on out which is exciting and my happy moment for the past couple days is that even though my car is in the shop (Big Red was sick) my sweet friends have been so kind to tote me around. Hope everyone has a happy Thursday and expect a picture post/update on the weekend soon.

Another Catch Up Post...

Hey bloggy friends, so I know I missed a few days again, but don't worry I'm not quitting blogging, things have just been so crazy between initiations and the blizzard. Fayetteville got so much snow, I don't know what the exact amount is but it was definitely the most snow I have ever seen in my life. Thursday night we went over to Naustin's for Nat's birthday. The night was definitely a success and we continued the birthday celebration last night at Grub's. We braved the snow and managed to make it to Grub's and it was a blast. Later Kat, Chan, Schuey, and I headed over to Sigma Chi. So to continue with the ramble of a post, Friday was pretty much just filled with initiations. The major happy moment of Friday came when I headed downstairs and discovered that we had Chicken Finger Friday even though school was cancelled, it's so funny how happy something so little can just brighten your day. I have rediscovered over this blizzard that I am still not really a fan of snow, I still think snow is just winter's cheap imitation of sand. We went sledding on Friday and I have to admit that it was fun for a while but literally after like an hour I was so done with the cold. My hands felt like icicles and I literally thought I was a human Popsicle. My despise for the slick, cold, wet white stuff outside is a mutual feeling because not a single other person on Friday fell walking anywhere other than me. I busted it trying to walk back, at which point I decided I was done with the snow. OK, so here's a new thought I'm getting kind of tired of the whole just listing my day's events and while I'll more than likely still do that the other night I made a list of fun blog topics so I'm hoping to use some of those for new fun blog posts. My happy moment for today was simply it still being the weekend, I LOVE three day weekends they give you so much more time to do everything. Like if it hadn't been a three day weekend I would never have gotten my laundry done or had time to be a bum and finish my homework. I'm hoping that by tomorrow the snowy mess will be gone enough that I can get back into a routine, I'm definitely missing working out and being able to get out and about as I please. Oh and I almost forgot my other happy moment is that I have NEW PICTURES to put up with today's post. Today's picture is one of me, Schuett, and the birthday girl. Talk to you tomorrow (hopefully) blog friends.

Ok, So Third Time's A Charm
So this is my third day in a row to try and update the blog, but since it seems as if the internet hates me. So I'm hoping that this one will actually update. Since I haven't talked to all my bloggy friends in a while I actually have a little bit to update on. Let's see Monday was busy but great, I had my second day at my internship and I have an office. I was so excited to get an office, I just figured I'd be shoved in some conference room but nope I have my own office with a chair and a desk and a computer, I was so excited. And since we already are talking about AAO today I got to set up my e-mail account and voicemail so that was pretty exciting. This week has been packed between interning and all the stuff leading up to initiation. I am so excited for the little owls to finally get initiated!! The weather men are calling for ice and snow tomorrow so I guess we will find out if they are actually right or not. I know this isn't really much of a quality post but it's going to have to do since I still need to shower. My happy moment for Monday was having a ride to my second class so I didn't have to walk in the super cold grossness. My happy moment for Tuesday was getting out of my last class super early. And my happy moment for today was finding someone to go workout with me at like 9:30 tonight, thanks Schuey!! Goodnight bloggy friends!

Sunday Funday

Whoops, I almost forgot to update today. Today was such a busy day I had literally already turned off my light before I remembered that I wanted to go ahead and update. So currently I'm keeping Katie Schuett company in her fabulous closet while she works on stuff for initiation week and I update the blog. Today, Meagan, Abbi, and I went to church and the sermon was so good. It talked about showing God's love to one another and loving people even when the natural response isn't to love. So this week's challenge is to try and apply that to my life. After church we decided to venture to Springdale and eat some Cracker Barrel. It was such a nice normal thing to do, since when I'm home we go to Cracker Barrel almost every Sunday after church. After that we ran a few errands around town until I had to be back at Chi O for a meeting. The meeting went super well and I'm really excited about my position even if learning all of what I have to do was kind of overwhelming at first. After my fun little training session I had a few things to finish up before the week starts. I know this week will be crazy busy but that will be good because I'm way excited for the weekend. This weekend Nat turns 21 so we're all going out to dinner and stuff for her birthday and that should definitely be a good time. This is my last week of school that isn't completely filled with tests and projects so I'm hoping to be able to get a little ahead and prepped for the rest of the semester. Today's happy moment was putting up all my clean clothes, I love starting the week with everything clean and put in its place, I just can't help it I'm an organizational nerd. Today's random picture is from when Katie and I accidentally matched. I had to put it up because we matched again today, I guess it's just a Katie thing, even if she is a fake Katie. Sweet dreams blog friends.

The Olympics are Coming, The Olympics are Coming
Hey blog world! Guess what?! The Olympics start next month. I am so excited, I love the Olympics. The summer games are my favorite but the winter ones have ice skating and I love love love ice skating. I cannot even wait! Since, I don't have a TV in my room right now it's a very good thing that I have friends who love the Olympics with equal amounts of passion as I do. Today was a fairly laid back day, I love the first few days of class when you go to school but you don't have any homework to do afterwards. I spent this afternoon at the HPER and then me and Kara went and saw Leap Year which was cute. There are so many cute movies coming out in the next month or so. I guess that's another good thing about winter, there are usually more movies during that time than summer. I'm watching American Idol right now, and wow you could not pay me a million bucks to sing on TV. Some of these people, bless their hearts just need to go home and keep their singing in the shower. I hate that I only add old pictures to my blog but I feel like the posts without pictures just look sad. So here's an old pic from last semester. This one is me, Sty, and Schuey at Yippee Chi O which is by far one of my favorite functions from last semester!
